The Lucerna Palace is a legendary place that shaped the history of the country and in some ways changed the character of the whole city. It was inaugurated in 1909.

The builder and developer at the time, Václav Havel, the grandfather of the well-known President Václav Havel, turned the city into a metropolis with the building. Lucerna brought interesting opportunities for the time to the city’s residents. It was the opening of a cabaret, a Japanese tea room, a cinema or a large common room for concerts.

Legends of world music are performed in the great hall. The Beach Boys, Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Dylan and many, many others. The Great Hall in Lucerna is a respected and renowned concert venue for both Czech and foreign artists.

We strongly recommend going there at sunset: when you watch the sun hide behind Prague Castle as you bathe the Old Town in golden rays, the phrase “Golden Prague” takes on a whole new meaning!

The opening times are from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The entrance ticket costs 100 CZK.
