Deckorators
Deckorators’ Voyage Boards in Sierra used as exterior cladding for residential buildings.
The mineral-based composite deck lines of Deckorators have been approved for use as exterior siding, including the Voyage, Vault and Frontier lines, as well as for picture frame boards.
Each line offers unique color, variation and texture options and all include a stain- and fade-resistant polypropylene cap, as well as a 50-year structure, 25-year stain and 25-year removal, and 25-year removal and removal replacement warranties.
The MBC formulations of the panels, which consist of a mixture of polypropylene and calcium carbonate, are almost 35% lighter than conventional composites, have a weight similar to PVC and allow virtually no thermal expansion or contraction. In the manufacturer’s Eovations process, the mixture is extruded and stretched, creating air pockets in the fiber-like structure of the board to help hold the board lightly.
“Our MBC decking has gained a loyal following in the decking community and we are pleased to announce approval of a fairing application,” said Chris Camfferman, director of marketing for Deckorators. “Now builders can get the style, unmatched structural integrity, and superior warranty of MBC decks for the toughest outdoor applications.”
Approved dimensions for siding are 3½, 5½, and 7½ inch widths, and 12, 16, and 20 foot lengths. Hidden hidden fasteners and Starborn Pro plugs are among the approved mounting solutions. deckorators.com
