Devolver Digital announced Inscryption during their E3 2021 stream. It’s the next game from Daniel Mullins, the developer of the acclaimed indie hits Pony Island and The Hex.
Inscryption is a mix of genres, in true Mullins fashion. It will combine elements of the villainous deck building genre with escape room challenge-style puzzles, with a healthy dose of psychological horror. Players will “acquire a deck of forest creature cards through design, operation, and self-mutilation,” which all sounds twisted (and more than a little intriguing). Check out the announcement trailer below.
Inscryption will be released for the PC later this year. An exact release date has not yet been announced, and it is not yet known if it will be released for other platforms as well.
During their E3 2021 stream, Devolver Digital announced several new games including Trek to Yomi and Wizard with a Gun, while also providing updates on previously announced upcoming releases like Shadow Warrior 3, Phantom Abyss and Death’s Door. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more E3 coverage.
