Once you’ve worked your way through the Legends of Runeterra tutorial and fully understood all of the mechanics (or at least appropriately or maybe just clicked random buttons), it’s time to test your skills against real opponents. Legends of Runeterra gives you a few pre-built decks based on the basic card collection everyone has from the start. Best of all, of course, you start making your own beers. In this guide, we explain how creating a deck in Legends of Runeterra works.

There are six regions in Legends of Runeterra: Demacia, Freljord, Noxus, Ionia, Shadow Isles, and Piltover & Fence. There are four champions in each of these regions, all of which also appear in League of Legends and also have unique abilities in Legends of Runeterra. While the regions have their own general terms, building a deck in Legends of Runeterra mainly focuses on these champions. They are the powerhouses in a deck and the cards you have to play around with. The other two types of cards are units (regular minions on the board) and magic cards.

▲ The deck builder in Legends of Runeterra

A deck in Legends of Runeterra must consist of exactly 40 cards, 6 of which must be champion cards. You can have up to three copies of a particular card in your deck. This is generally recommended for most cards, and champion cards in particular, as you want to draw them reliably.

If you’re browsing your collection and you’re not sure what a particular card does, just right click on it. The map is zoomed in and you can hover over any keywords you don’t understand to read the tooltips. When you right-click a card, you will also see all of the cards associated with it, e.g. B. the maps generated by the map.

If you are in love with a certain region, you are can Create a deck of 40 cards from that region only. Legends of Runeterra, however, encourages mixing regions. When creating a deck, you can combine the cards and champions of any two regions. Note that a champion is a region Requirements for playing cards from this region: If you have 6 Freljord Champions, you cannot fill the rest of your deck with cards from other regions.

▲ With the Deck Builder you can filter by cards per region …

▲ and also offers more precise filtering.

Sometimes when you are building a deck you think of too many options to include. Legends of Runeterra allows you to include as many cards as you want in the first draft of your deck. she can Save a deck of 50 cards, but you cannot play with it. You’ll have to cut down to 40 cards if you want to put your creation to the test.

If you come across what is arguably the most powerful Legends of Runeterra deck the world has ever seen, or if you just need the help of your friends fine-tuning your deck, you can use the Share feature. Each deck has its own unique code string that you can copy and paste. This will automatically import the entire list into your client.

Of course, you can’t play an imported list if you don’t have all of the cards. Cards that you are missing copies of are highlighted in red in the Deck Builder. If you right click on a red card you can see how many copies of the card you have to do and how many cards you might need to make.

There are two ways to make missing cards: placeholders and splinters. Placeholders are tokens that you can exchange for any card of the corresponding rarity. There are Common, Rare, Epic and Champion wild cards that can be acquired through regular rewards or by paying cash. Shards are not tied to a card rarity, but the higher the rarity, the higher the number of shards you will have to pay. A Common card costs 150 shards, a Rare 400, an Epic 1500 and a Champion card 4000 shards.

▲ Share your deck (left of Heimerdinger) or import a deck (via Tryndamere).

▲ For imported decks that are missing cards, the missing cards are highlighted in red.

The mechanics of deck building is not difficult in Legends of Runeterra. But make strong decks? It’s a different animal. It is always trial and error to slowly adjust the bad cards and exchange them for possible improvements. Have fun!

I You used to hear people say, “It’s only one deck. Anyone can build a deck. What’s the big deal? “When the deck pulls off the side of a house, or when the railing gives way, it’s a big deal. People can be injured; they can even be killed.

With tragic deck collapse mainstream news in cities across the country, code writers and construction inspectors have understandably made deck safety a priority. These deck collapses can generally be traced back to a failure at one of the six critical joints shown in the drawing above. Unsurprisingly, hardware manufacturers have focused their products on the same six connections.

Fortunately, this is innovative Fasteners and now available steel connectors are easy to use. Some can even save you time. More importantly, however, any deck builder, professional or novice, can meet the code requirements and build a safer deck.

1. General ledger to the margin beam

When a Ledger If it is not adequately attached to the house’s edge joist, it can detach from the house and lead to a deck that falls to the ground. The traditional way of attaching a ledger is 1⁄2 inch in diameter. Lag screws (or larger) or through bolts long enough to penetrate the house’s edge joist. The number of fasteners required depends on the length of the ledger and the expected load. For information on the number of bolts or delays required for your project, contact your code, your construction officer, or an engineer. The following drawing shows the correct placement.

2. Post to stand and frame.

If gravity was the only force conspiring against your deck, the posts might be fine just resting on yours Foundations. But there is also lift from winds and tremors from people and from seismic activity. Building codes require mechanical connections to the bottom of the deck post where it meets the foundation and to the top of the post to be tied into the frame.
