Watson said on Twitter as he shared the photo of the arch on social media. “Since this is not the first or second time someone has used this word to hurt me, I still can’t understand the hatred in a human heart!”

Watson continued, “I was crazy at first, but it saddens me to know that this kind of ignorance still exists!”

You can see Watson’s post along with a picture of the racist arch below:

This is not something I personally have ever had to endure, but I am not aware of the fact that there is racism. Whoever left the note is scum and has hatred in their hearts. The social media response to Watson’s post has been largely positive, with the exception of one Jackwagon, who commented on a separate post on the incident claiming that 99 percent of the racist incidents were in fact fake.

Estacado head coach Joe Cluley responded to ignorance that this was part of the problem.

“”Here’s the problem right here – You can come to Estacado and explain this to our children and coaches, “Cluley told the commentator.” It happens and it is real. It’s ridiculous when it’s wrong. “

Why haven’t you downloaded the Talk 1340 app yet?

Cluley then invited the man to come out and meet his kids and coaches: “Let me know if you plan to show up and talk to our kids or stay outside.”

I doubt the Cluley guy will take the offer.

If you want to be a coward in Lubbock, do so on your own driveway and leave everyone else alone. Better still, don’t do it anywhere and be a better person.

Coach Cluley added in a separate post, “This happened today to one of the best coaches I’ve ever worked with. He’s giving up time with his own family to help our Eastside Lubbock kids because he’s graduated from Estacado has made and wants to give back! Change HAS to happen. How can we talk about real change if this continues? “

LOOK: 50 essential civil rights speeches

Many of the speakers had lifelong human rights engagements, but one attempted to silence an activist who campaigned for the right to vote before later signing major civil rights laws. Several fought for more than one oppressed group for freedom.
