KGO’s Dion Lim video shows a man exiting a black limousine parked in the middle of the street on Sunday afternoon. The attacker, wearing a black balaclava, black sweater and sweatpants, approaches the victim, a 56-year-old Filipino who appears to have just left his white van. The suspect points his gun at the man and demands the man’s watch before escaping into the vehicle.
KGO reports that the suspect followed the man and his family home from lunch in Walnut Creek. Fortunately, the man was not injured in the robbery.

His son Lawrence Cruz told the outlet in an interview that attacks like this “are not something we should normally worry about”.
“I told my mother and all of my family to make sure you weren’t followed,” he said. It’s kind of crazy in our neighborhood, in our area. “

Concord police did not immediately respond to a request for comment from SFGATE, but did inform KGO that the black sedan seen in security footage was also used in a robbery in Oakley earlier in the day.
