We don’t often cover sales anymore as most mobile games are free these days and even many of the paid games use the yo-yo pricing method to make sales so often that they don’t even feel special anymore. However, sometimes there are some very excellent games that are rarely sold. So it is worth highlighting telling people who do not already have this excellent game to buy it at a great price. Today that excellent game that is rarely ever put up for sale is the villainous deck building game Meteorfall: Journey ($ 3.99) developed by Slothwerk. The reason for the sale? To celebrate Meteorfall’s second birthday, of course. Which makes me wonder again where the hell is time going? If you are completely unfamiliar with Meteorfall, enjoy this silly and way too catchy trailer.
From today through Sunday, Meteorfall is available for the cheap price of $ 1.99, which is half the regular price of $ 3.99. The only time Meteorfall was put up for sale was a year ago for the first anniversary and a year earlier as a launch discount. So yes, this is basically your once a year chance to have this game up for sale. But wait, there’s more! A brand new update for Meteorfall was released today, adding the new playable character Varfa and her 30+ brand new maps. In fact, updates have been an important part of Meteorfall’s last two years because although we loved the original release in our review, the game has expanded tremendously over those two years and is an even bigger game today than it was when it launched.
If you want the dirty details of every update ever released, including today’s one, they have been meticulously recorded at this link here. If you don’t care about any of this and you just want to play a great villainous card game then grab Meteorfall while it’s only two dollars or I think we’ll just see you again next year.
